Hello. I am Yuji Higuchi, President and CEO of Sakigake Link, Inc.

I am a psychiatrist, and I currently also serve as the director of a single-specialty psychiatric hospital. Through the days I have spent alongside people living with mental illness in clinical psychiatric practice, I arrived at one firm conviction. To carry a mental illness means, beyond the symptoms themselves, to lose one's own "role" within society and community—and it is this loss that wounds a person most deeply.

This realization profoundly shaped how we built our hospital as an organization. Rather than leaning on credentials such as "physician" or "nurse," we redesigned the organization from the ground up, aiming to become a hospital where every staff member takes pride in their own role and genuinely wants to belong. As a result, the organization was reborn. Though we are still only partway down the road, I feel we are pioneering an answer for what a small- to mid-sized regional medical corporation can be.

Generative AI has woven itself into everyday life as a matter of course. It instantly turns the vague ideas in our minds into beautiful text, images, and music. We can casually step into a world of magic that, until very recently, was beyond imagining.

But what happens the moment you arrive at the hospital? You transcribe by hand onto paper and ring a PHS handset. Doesn't that gap leave you disheartened?

Diagnosis coding, paperwork, appointment entry, patched-together manual tasks—work that requires no medical license robs healthcare professionals of their precious time and wears them out. This is a structural problem of clinical practice that cannot be solved merely by changing an organization from within.

I founded Sakigake Link to confront this challenge head-on and fundamentally transform how clinical practice works.

These are entirely new platforms with AI built into their very foundations and developed in an AI-driven way—Prime for acute-care hospitals and RITA for psychiatric hospitals.

Because healthcare professionals who know the pain of the front lines stand at the center of the design, we believe we can deliver products that not only powerfully assist day-to-day care but also provide management support from the perspective of a hospital administrator.

Of course, there is only so much I can accomplish on my own. But under the mission of "value from connection," there are colleagues who chose, of their own will, to come aboard.

An organization with a sense of mission moves on its own. Our driving force is not obligation, but that conviction.
